The snowshoe event at Mickey Hill Pocket Wilderness near Annapolis Royal on Highway #8 had perfect snow conditions. Over 25 people showed up for the trek through the park on January 31. The trees were full of snow and the storm on Friday left some great snow for folks wanting to snowshoe or ski at the park.



The event was a cooperative project of Annapolis County Recreation and Hike Nova Scotia.

Sunday’s snow shoe event January 17,2010 at Kejimkujik National Park and National Historic attracted over 30 people under sunny skies and minas 4 temperatures. A couple of weeks ago I participated in a Canada/New England Cruise Symposium in Saguenay, Quebec. What an eye opener to the possibilities that await! They have grown their cruise product along the St. Lawrence and Saguenay Rivers (including small ports like Chicoutimi, Baie Comeau and Sept-Iles) from virtually nothing 10 years ago to a thriving industry today.
